| I must say we had a try disallowed against Wigan at Old Trafford that was more convincing than the first one that Leigh scored. Still, the score stands & allowed Leigh back into the game which they dominated from then on. It's only a pity that we were beaten by so many of our cast offs who were thrown away with bath water in the quest to build a stronger club. Thank God Mulhearn wasn't playing as well & i would have O'Brien back in a heartbeat. It's good to see Vaughan playing his best rugby again after so many luke warm efforts recently. Perhaps he is happy to be getting from under the cloud that hangs over the Wire even for a gig at York. Pleased to see the efforts of Matterson , he made a difference.

| We used to beat those teams pretty regularly , Morrissey but over the last few seasons they have all got the measure of us. We are going backwards at a rate of knots & maybe Sneyd's defensive frailties didn't show up when these teams were beating us.

| lee "the Axe" Briers defence wasn't so great but he had a decent amount of support from the players inside pushing across to help out. Other than the odd Cumberland throw all he could do was just disrupt an attacker and was often left to Westwood or Bridge to sort the rest out. It doesn't help Sneyd or the other defenders when Burgess decides to switch sides with Williams and.Sneyd mid way through a game. That never happened with Briers because we didn't have to because the other players were putting the effort in to cover. Maybe we also need to look at what Stone and Fitzgibbon are doing at the same time.

| Has Sneyd ever had a great attacking game? Fantastic kicking game especially when it's needed but I wouldn't say he's ever had the hands, running game or step to be a really good creative halfback. More of a steady Eddie. His defence the last few games though has been shocking. Time for Leon Hayes to come straight back into the team.
