All three improve the team so hope they all get signed.

Loverugbyleague.com speculation about Ethan Ryan. I've not seen anything about Ormondroyd yet.

Mick confirmed that Oldham are after Brierley and Ormondroyd, so we shall see. If we go up, Ormondroyd will no doubt be a part of the Super League squad. 

What?  Oldham are going up? 


Hill takes Pele's spot although he's a very different (and better) player.  Noble states that he's here until the end of the season but hopefully longer.   As an elder statesman and obvious pack leader where does this leave Lawrence?   Do we think this is Bruno's last year?  He's 35 so two years younger than Hill (I thought he was older TBH).  

I think Lawrence is retiring. Again, he can play big minutes but Hill can actually break tackles and it seems the deal is for the rest of this season with a view to something next season. 


I don't get all the hate for Lawrence, he does things that people are not tactically savvy to. He doesn't break tackles, but he manages quick play the ball, defensively is good, can play big minutes and you certainly notice the lack of leadership when he isn't there. However, I think he's made his mind up and this will be his last season. 


Hill is exactly what we needed, I just hope we can beat Oldham to Ormondroyd as he's a big lad and if we can get a loose forward, I think our pack is complete. 

Agreed about Lawrence.  A lot of his critics have no idea at all - they seem to rate our props on the eye-catching carries only and not all the other stuff.  Shows a complete lack of knowledge.   Lawrence never gets put on his back, his footwork is excellent, in fact I'd go as far as to say it's the best of  all our props.  They would all do well to work on it as it'd increase the speed of our PTB loads.


In defence he sticks every time and controls the ruck, you never seem him laid on the ground or kneeling up watching the tackled player play the ball.  Again, it's another important part of the game that he excels at.  


He's been chosen as club captain so must be a good communicator and have the respect of the squad.  


So what that he doesn't knock people flying when he takes the ball up, he gets a quicker PTB than many that do.
